Community Table at First Church of Lombard
First Church of Lombard UCC will start hosting Community Table again starting Sept 11, and then every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 5:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend to enjoy a free meal. You can check the First Church website or call 630.629.2630, ext 7, the day before to see the menu.
workNet DuPage Kiosks
Partnership for Employment Opportunities
In tandem with the Skill Up DuPage information sessions, workNet DuPage began to install touchscreen kiosks providing access to their services with the touch of a finger.
There are workNet DuPage kiosks currently at the following locations (we encourage you to call ahead to confirm that the kiosks are active before going):

Indian Prairie Public Library
West Suburban Community Pantry.
Individuals can also visit workNet DuPage in person at 2525 Cabot Drive, Suite 302, Lisle, IL and online at www.worknetdupage.org.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
SNAP is a program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of needy families so they can purchase healthy food and move towards self-sufficiency.

LISA A. MILLS, (Community Outreach Worker, SNAP-Education, Dupage - Unit 5) comes about once a month and provides samples of healthy food for our guests to try made using food frequently on offer at our Food Pantry, as well as providing recipes for healthy eating.

Team https://solvehungertoday.org/snap-food-stamps/ visits approx once a month to provide information to our guests on eligibility for SNAP and follows up to provide assistance to those interested in applying
Parents as Teachers
Representatives of each of these organizations comes occasionally to reach out to guests and help them register their children for services.
