Every child deserves a dry diaper.

Diaper Need: 1 in 2 U.S. families cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry, and healthy. Did you know that the average cost of a month of diapers is $80?

    • These babies are more vulnerable to painful rashes and urinary tract infections and have more trips to the doctor.

    • 1 in 4 parents miss work or school because they can’t afford the diapers required to leave their baby in Childcare.

Clean diapers are a basic need of every baby and toddler.

Families struggling to make ends meet face challenges everyday, often making hard decisions about where to cut corners or what to do without so the bills can be paid.  We believe every child deserves a dry diaper. At the Outreach House families in need can receive diapers and baby wipes once a month. Families may also receive formula, infant foods and other hygiene products when they are available.

How You Can Help

Diapers and wipes are expensive. We welcome your financial donations

We gladly accept donations of diapers, wipes, and many other baby items during our normal service hours (see below).

Assisting our guests takes a lot of volunteers.

Organizing a diaper drive is another way to help.

“Recently I’m back to work but struggling to make ends meet, exhausted from juggling children, work, home, etc…. [First Things First] helps so much by taking a weight off my chest of where I’m going to worry to get my children clothes, diapers. It’s so stressful worrying about where I’m going to come up with money when bills are due.”
